“Luxury is not really a matter of how much you have, but how much you don’t need.” Pico Iyer
Kingsley Stephenson Architecture specializes in creating beautiful, thoughtful, and warm modern homes for families. Our work is elegant and practical, with an emphasis on natural materials and everyday lived connections to light, views, and nature. We value simplicity and strive to create homes that are relatively affordable yet extraordinary in their subtle sophistication and attention to practical details.
In addition to architectural design services, KSA often handles permitting as well, ideally eliminating the need for costly additional “expeditor” consultants, even in highly restrictive Los Angeles areas such as the Mulholland Scenic Parkway, and those subject to various neighborhood councils, HPOZs, and specific plans.
Amelia Stephenson is a California-licensed architect and LEED accredited professional with over 15 years of experience designing homes in the Los Angeles area. Before forming Kingsley Stephenson Architecture, she developed her focus on residential projects as a project manager at Touraine Richmond Architects, formerly based in Venice, California.
She received a Master in Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design (GSD) in 2005 and a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College in 1997. As a GSD student she interned for Eisenman Architects in New York and Rem Koolhaas's Office for Metropolitan Architecture in Rotterdam.
